Whitson Contracting & Management, Inc. acts as an owner’s designated representative on engineering construction projects. WCM manages the design and permit process; writes all project bid documents; writes all contract documents including consultant agreements; manages the construction process; writes all contract change orders; manages SWPPP; manages the design engineers, City and or Caltrans, geotechnical engineer, surveyors, biologists, paleontologists, archeologists, and applicable utilities; closes out the project; assures City and/or Caltrans acceptance of the project; and obtains bond releases.
Carmel Valley Road Extension
Project Description:
Construction of a new roadway from the boundary of Black Mountain Ranch and 4S Ranch to the previously completed portion of Carmel Valley Road (approximately 7,100 lf). Scope of project included: site clearing, 2.2mil cy rock excavation, rough grading, storm drain systems, dry utility installations, cast-in-place pcc bridge, geogrid retaining walls, 6,200lf of 36” waterline, realignment of existing 36” RB pipeline 1,100lf 48” waterline, rock crushing, aggregate and CTB production, street lighting, traffic signals, minor concrete, ac paving, MBGR and fencing, irrigation and landscaping. Project issued subcontracts.
